How the fuck was I supposed to know? The Video Game

I got the regular ending and thought it was a neat little game, very tightly designed and with some great music. But then I reached the reverse castle and holy fuck it turned into such a fucking slog. Fuck those little paralysing, endlessly respawning medusas. Not sure if I have it in me to finish it.
