You're falling into the same trap with Jalen that most people do which is looking at his averages instead of looking at how those points actually come about in games

He strings together very good games of 20+ points for a week or two per month and then does absolutely nothing the rest of the time, we saw it firsthand when he had a great game 2 against the warriors and then was a total nonfactor for the rest of the series

That's four years of slightly-below-Cam-Thomas level scoring from a guy who we ostensibly need to be our leading scorer, and he doesn't offer anything else to the team beyond very marginally improved defense

As for Brooks, he's fine but he's a role player, expendable, and we have Tari who can slide right into his role
