There are countless tales of mortals tormented, humbled, and broken by the gods, but what of the opposite? Lexandros was a brilliant and brooding general who rose from a low-born lineage to command entire legions. A master of tactics, siegecraft, and manipulation; Lexandros harbored a deep and burning hatred for the gods and their demigod progeny. To him, their blessings were chains, their miracles mockery; they were capricious beings who bent the fate of mortals like playthings. And he was no man to be played with. He marched across the Hellenic world first as a liberator, then as a conqueror, and finally as a blasphemer with the ultimate goal of casting down Olympus brick by golden brick. So cunning was Lexandros that he once deceived Hephaestus, god of the forge, into crafting for him a suit of enchanted bronze. When the deceit was revealed, it was too late: Lexandros strode forth clad in strength and endurance equal to Herakles himself, and even the magic of gods bounced harmlessly off of his impervious form.
