Not really. They're different mediums. I have no interest in watching Queer even though I love the book. I did watch The Naked Lunch but the attraction was that it was a Cronenberg movie, it didn't have anything to do with my reading the book and enjoying that. I think I read Psycho like 10 years after seeing and loving the movie. I keep my hobby rabbit holes separate, I guess. After my Burroughs phase I was like, "I want to see Burroughs himself in movies", not, "I want to see Burroughs novels turned into movies."
