Being a vtuber that cultivated parasocial audience like Nimi, having a boyfriend or worse a husband is probably the worst sin you could commit. The thing is the West caring about a vtuber's relationship status is frowned upon, so her viewers aren't able to seethe about it public like they can on /vt/
Also Saplings/Naplings made their bed hard as fuck thanks to trying to throw Holo under the bus and buying hard into that "DISSAGRMENTS WITH MANAGMENT = BLACK COMPANY!!!!!" bullshit, so there's a lot of people around eager to twist the knife since there's a none 0% chance the entire reason she left was to be public with her marriage lol
