that's probably country-specifics, we don't have places like that here, our rural areas are rather densely populated villages with one house next to another, in southern Poland it reaches an absurd level of density like pic rel
but i know what you're talking about from Baltic states, their farming seems to be organized in individual farms with huge distance one from another rather than villages.
