No. Min wage gets you like 3000 a month before taxes, meaning you can at best afford 1000$ housing. 1000$ housing even in the worst most dangerous neighborhoods in boston without assisted living that has a waiting list of YEARS barely gets you a small walk in closet room in a packed house. After taxes, you are maybe left with 1k to split between groceries, savings, and misc. This sucks.
The min wage in Maine is the same as in boston but instead I will be living in my own 2br apartment for the same price.
