Its actually going ok. Just blowing off some steam. Yeah, Colbert is mega cringe. Every once in a while his writers give him a gem though. I'm not exactly seething at him losing the show. More that I'm worried for what trend this sets going forward.
Was always much more of Jon Stewart fan myself. Though... I mean he's pretty cringe too sometimes.

Believe me anon. I know that when push comes to shove we need men on our side. As much as it hurts my pride to admit, we can't do it on our own. We must have men to support us. Without the strength and support of many men our cause would be lost. I am aware.

A few years ago, I would've said that /pol were the ones who weren't normal. But considering that the average Twitter user these days is crazier than even what /pol can cook up. Its shocking to admit that EVEN POL is more sane than the average maga cultist in many regards. (This isn't to say that every person in maga is like this, I was surprised to learn that much of them are quite reasonable when you speak to them.)
But it is to say that yes, there is a big chunk of the maga base which has a cult-like devotion to the dear leader.
