Anyway, depression is a thing that brews over time. Most depressed people don't go nuclear after a big thing like that, that's what normal people (like Kyon in the drunk Mikuru scene) do. Instead, they sit and take it because they hate themselves and break later down the line when they think nothing will change (and during the events of Sigh, Yuki observes no reason to believe anything will change). Someday in the Rain really hammers down that feeling of a perpetual stasis, especially because of how much time has passed since. And again, a normal person like Asakura was outwardly destructive to break said stasis but a depressed person like Yuki caved inwards instead.
