Is it just me, or does “waifu culture” just not exist in Star Rail? Feels like the only things players give a shit about is meta. It doesn’t matter if they have a goonerbait design like Jade, cool animations like Rappa, or a sexy personality and voice like Cipher; if they’re not meta, no one rolls for them. I haven’t seen metafaggotry this bad since Fire Emblem Heroes, and that had PvP.

In other gachas like FGO, there were shit characters like Ereshkigal and Raikou and Tamamo that despite not being meta, became some of the most popular characters in the game. Even other Hoyo games like Genshin (just see all the Dehya or Amber mains out there), don’t obsess over meta this badly; hell, in ZZZ, no one gives a shit about the meta, it’s PURELY about how hot the character is.

I have this hunch that Seiba’s gonna sell like shit, despite being one of the most popular gacha characters of all time, just because her kit is “okay” instead of outright broken.
