Who the hell told you Magik could resurrect herself? That's never been one of her abilities. Do you know what one of her abilities is? The ability to practically nullify psionic attacks on her mind. You're advocating for Ikki to fight someone who is immune to most of his kit and he has no real themes in common with. You're asking a cobra to fight a mongoose. Instead of having Ikki fight someone who actually shares his totem animal and ability to resurrect, style of combat, and tendency to leave the team and come back.
