I played Pangya on PSP and wasn't really into how slow the UI felt compared to Hot Shots Golf Open Tee 2 on the same system. It sounds petty but I was kind of annoyed with how long the hole out animations for certain characters were without being able to skip, alongside how cheaply built the mechanics felt, especially putting. Maybe the other versions are better though.

If you're a Mario Golf fan I definitely say give the Hot Shots series a try. Clap Hanz was formed by ex-Camelot staff, and for more context, Camelot themselves worked on the first HSG game before being picked up by Nintendo to work on HSG2 onwards. I'm personally a fan of Fore (Minna no Golf 4, the JP counterpart, might be more palatable if you prefer Mario Golf 64's grounded OCs to wacky ones) for PS2 and Open Tee 2 on PSP. Feels much more like a continuation of MG64-style golfing compared to Toadstool Tour onwards (not to say TT and World Tour are bad by any means, they're just a different flavor of good).
