Honestly a huge portion of adults are borderline illiterate/adhd now, the number of people at my work who can't read a full email themselves and need an ai to summarize it for them is /genuinely/ concerning, I've watched coworkers sit right in front of me and take forever to read a 1 paragraph email then immediately start asking questions that were answered in the email because they'll read it but not comprehend it at all, the more I see other's lack of control the more I'm convinced humanity as a whole is simply not ready for the internet its kind of scary how quickly people just devolve when given shortcuts and I don't really know any sort of solution to it either its basically pandora's box, maybe all video platforms and AI services should require a mandatory hooked on phonics course every few hours or something
