After defeating Jin, Miguel angrily remarks that his adversary does not recognize him. He then delivers a barrage of punches to Jin's face, shouting that his sister was killed by the Mishima Zaibatsu. Jin tells Miguel to finish him off. Miguel, noticing Jin's lifeless demeanor, decides to spare him, but only because the former Mishima Zaibatsu head has not suffered enough to deserve death; not until Jin's life is filled with hope will he kill his sister's murderer.
