He tried to use this map to dab on Romanians saying we are Cumans while the entity called Cumania was nowhere near the Romanian borders and it actually shows Wallachia, the Banates and Moldova. A rare map of Moldova since it depicts the Eastern border being on the Nipru river, before Poles meddled and pushed Moldovans back from what was later called Ukraine.
Last of the Cumans that were able to form a fighting force were defeated at the Battle of Veroia (modern Veria) by the Byzantines with the help of the Varagnian Goths (Scandinavian Goths), the rest of the Cumans being absorbed mostly by Hungary which still showed Cumans living in Hungary long after the Battle of Veria.
