Totally. I remember in Lion King 2 where the villain lioness died with a smile on her face simply because she refused to be rescued by the protagonist. It was cut in the original film so she simply fell to her death with a weird smile on her face but when you look at the deleted scene, it makes more sense. It's so cool and I wish more villains were straight up more evil like this.

To me her motivation being a "just because" is surprisingly fun. It's not deep in reasoning but it works for what she's supposed to represent.
