if you read the book of genesis from an allegorical perspective, it perfectly describes both the big bang and the evolution of life on earth. additionally, it can be read as a factual accounting of how one would go about populating a simulated reality with life. in fact, there are a lot of sections of the bible that just make a lot more sense if you consider that maybe the reality it's describing is just a computer simulation that can be easily fucked with by people who know the exploits

in either case, accepting that reality is a simulation, and devoting yourself entirely to religion are functionally the same thing
