There's a hypothesis that pierogi came to Poland from China through Asia, so it were Moscovites who brought them here. It could be another bullshit story (like one that pasta came to Italy from China), however I must admit I've seen pierogi that look exactly like Polish pierogi in eastern China (Zhejiang province). I mean literally same method of folding dough and later refrying.
