That's literally how his Hi3 boss works too. He has thing called "Love" meter which is basically the more you kick him, the more you fill it. The more you fill it, the more frenzied he becomes. Plus Sparkle said he is now "manageable" to beat due to lacking mask compared to if he had it. Take that as you will.
