I feel like this will happen eventually to be honest.
They'll completely decode the entirety of human genome, find the parts that are causing issues and find ways to fix them. Won't help the current generations though
I bet it's gonna get real crazy in ways we can't even imagine, just like people could not imagine personal computers, smartphones and internet 100 years ago
