I mean yeah, D9 completely undermines the character development she goes from LiS1 to 2, of course he would be pissed.

Means nothing, a personal preference for an ending doesn't mean he would shat on the other one. Michel himself made many interviews in which he pointed out how choosing Bae was a form of keeping the important relationship you built with Chloe through all game.

Source on this statement? Also doesn't really matter, as we have seen how a product can change drastically through development and how Chloe became an integral part of the story, and how it was heavily inspired by "Blue is the warmest colour" graphic novel.
