Commentary:
We see the Freemason in the higher ranks of the military is abusing his position to then promote other masons and blacklist/purge Catholics (and thus more likely to be patriots and not left wingers). He is using the hidden hand symbol while some members of the army are already members of the lodge or are giving signs that they’re willing to sell out for a promotion. Regardless they’re giving signs to the masonic prefect so they’ll be selected for promotion.
Otherwise those who are not masons and Catholic will be on the “cards” (Masonic list).
