Musicians who aren't composers are simply disposable instruments to be used by either composers who don't have the time to play every instrument or otherwise be replaced by the composer who is also a musician

Metal and rock died because the newer waves focused more on learning how to play their instrument and songs written by other people rather than learning how to play and write music at the same time
