Funniest thing is that the House of Lords (or at least the peers that actually show up for work instead of freeloading on their title) is often the voice of reason in parliament because they don't have to worry about risking their political careers by speaking out against the decisions made by party leadership. By this point I genuinely trust the unelected fops and literal bishops to be more proactive in looking out for the rights of the common man than the MPs that the common man fucking voted for.
