Lefties have never actually met a poor person. Like a really true, "I have no desire to even meet basic standards of living, mentally ill, welfare-ite" poor.
If you give them food stamps, they will buy a bunch of resellable items and then forgo food to buy drugs. If you give them a house with no strings attached they will part out the copper, sell it, buy Pokemon cards or something, then demand you pay to refill it. If you give them a free education they will either ignore it, or only use it for the benefits (such as telling people they are going to turn their lives around). If you give them free healthcare, they will simply use it to try to obtain as many drugs and benefits as possible. They will demand handicapped parking, an emotional support dog, Vicodin, a work exemption, and everything else under the sun .
Without the threat of hunger, homelessness, and lack of electricity, there is a sizable portion of the population that will simply leech. The bottom 10-25% of the population is why we can't have free shit.
