The automatic entry into the NBA thing is kind of a myth. If you're that tall and have even a faint whiff of athleticism, yeah. But a ton of guys that tall don't have any athleticism. They just have these unnaturally enlongated bodies that don't function properly because they've exceeded their specifications. I'd rather be 6'4 than 6'11

"He was playing great until he got hurt" is going to be the summary of Chet's whole career. Dude got hurt five seconds into his career, missed his entire rookie season, then came back and broke his hip like some 90 year old with osteoporosis just doing routine shit. Guys who get hurt doing routine shit when they're young and don't even have a ton of miles on them rarely become reliable as they get older and play more games.

They will most likely bitterly regret this contract in a year or two. But hey, at least he actually won something before becoming an expensive paperweight like Embiid
