This is a sound extrapolation, but I personally think conditional pacifism fits better, since as you stated he's still willing to fight if forced to, i.e. if the condition is fulfilled. I've read books on Albert Einstein and Bertrand Russell that exemplify this quality, as they were two of the more well-known conditional pacifists.
