Since Pokemon Go (which is in itself slop) there's been:

Copy paste game with every legendary thrown in

Lol, lmao even
>Sword and Shield
Soulless shitfest with a boring straight line world, terrible graphics, reused assets (also lied about it) and the beginings of DLC
>BDSP
Vomit-inducing outsourced slop, didn't even have the decency to include Platinum content
>Legends Arceus
Admittedly good attempt to try something new, fell short of a good game
>Scarlet & Violet
Barely functional, forgettable story, disgusting marketing Pokemon like Lechon and Smolive, giant world with fuck all in it
>Legends ZA
Looks DOA

And yet.. TPC is in the best financial shape it's ever been in. People buy playing cards quicker than they can make them, grown adults kill each other over them. Plushies fly off the shelves, games are almost at Red & Blue levels of sales, slowly venturing into Netflix exclusives (and you know how much they pay for slop)
