Reminder that back during 1.X, hoyo secretly hit up a bunch of Japanese studios for collabs, pretending it was just for “magazine interviews.” This included atlus, falcom, TM, and a few others.

Apparently even atlus, who whore Persona into basically every gacha under the sun, said no to them. In the end, what was supposed to be a Persona 5 collab got reworked into that ghost hunting event instead.
