R1's temperature is locked to something low, but it's not zero. It will slightly change its response on swipes, but still will be really stubborn about what happens.
V3 is more freeform, but I feel it loses the thread quickly.
I think it comes down to it being heavily tuned to chinese, which is a noun-heavy language with a lot of noun compounds - which usually sound too "heavy" or "robotic" in english.
