I don't know if I'm forgetting details about the show or I'm just retarded, but I didn't understand that ending at all. Is Shou TM Revolution's time travelling son? I understand concluding he's a time traveler from the headpiece, but why specifically his son? How do you reach that conclusion, let alone that you should send him away right now?

Also, was the guy who took away the Emperor/Locust built up at all previously, or just a deux ex machina? Is he from Pili? I think I recognize the bug-eyed guy in his last scene in the other world.
