Sulfur smell. Need to eliminate.
Back story: Furnace died. Heat exchanger cracked and leaked some nasty condensate (pic related). Smelled rotten eggs and shut the furnace and gas supply down. New furnace is on the way and I haven't been running the old one for over a week. But the house still smells a bit like rotten eggs. What do? Rip out all the carpeting? Wash everything? Just wait for it to subside?
Also (related?): some of that goop dripped down into ducts. What's the best thing to clean it off? The deposits on the furnace heat exchanger are pretty hard.
