put them in a growth vat until they're 3 years old, then set their work schedule to haul and clean only. make sure they have a classroom with a desk and 3 blackboards and access to a comms console. whenever they're doing something that increases their growth stat like chatting on the comms, nature running, drawing, etc. or sitting at the classroom desk let them do it uninterrupted. sometimes you'll have to manually tell an adult pawn to sit at the desk with them to being a teaching session.

the idea is to max out their growth stat before every growth spurt because that means you get to select 3 passions and pick from a large selection of traits. essentially you get to handpick the passions you need most for your colony and best traits.

if you raise them right they'll have 2-3 double passions and several good traits like sanguine/tough/fast learner/jogger/etc. all on a single pawn.
