I do feel like the internet in general, not just video game "fandoms", has become extremely porn rotten. People constantly make sex "jokes" or remarks. Everyone seems horny. There's no real filter and everything is sexual. A common example I bring up is FFXIV. The sheer depravity in this MMO's community is so painfully transparent even on the surface level and outside of the typical place you'd expect it (Crystal). 4chan doesn't really count because this place has been as horny as I always remember it being with even blatant faggot erp in threads. But it's definitely leaked out into the wider consciousness and very much so with anything that's vaguely "weeb"-adjacent. God forbid you join Discord servers.
