IMO this is probably just demonstrating the engine, game capabilities, and general vibe/aesthetics. They still have to build out all the content, dungeons, quest lines, etc.

Oblivion shadowdrop proved they don't need an extended marketing cycle. My guess is they drop the trailer at the 2027 Xbox Direct and release later that year, similar to how they did Fallout 4.

Zero doubt in my mind they're sticking with Creation Engine and doubling down on their modding ecosystem. And I can explain why in a single word: Roblox. Roblox has more active users than ALL of PlayStation and ALL of Steam, and it's solely off the back of their custom games and user created content. This is the dragon Microsoft wants to chase.
