Anon I enjoyed a good chunk of time I spent with the game, but it falls into repetitiveness really hard.
>walk through coridoor with chaff enemies
>arena fight
>walk through next coridoor with chaff enemies
>arena fight, grab scrimblo key
>walk through another coridoor with yet more chaff
>miniboss that's basically a HP sponge you sidestep every now and then
>double back to earlier junction and go through the scrimblo door that was locked before
>its another fucking arena fight
>repeat until level is done
The only things I can recall from the game that stuck out to me were the cool ass Tzeench dimension warping gravity fuckery, and that one level that has you on a giant elevator because they were interesting and novel setpieces. Outside of that I basically didn't give a shit beyond wondering what the next weapon would look like. And by the time i had all the weapons I was like "well, I might as well see it through to the end" because there sure as shit wasn't any semblance of an engaging narrative or depth to the gameplay to keep me entertained.

If vanilla DOOM is the pinacle of gaming for you then Boltgun will be precisely your speed. But nowadays that type of minimalist game is a niche.
