Of course it is. If you aren't part of an organization which furthers your collective racial interests then you aren't participating in politics.

The collective needs to be constantly maintained and reinforced, it is a living organism which dies if it isn't properly cared for and nurtured. Your collective is doomed unless there exists a strong active organization to fight for its interests.
