this feels like Late Stage Nixon

I'm barely old enough to have been around and it was weird. I remember a Waffle Waitress when Nixon stuff came on TV saying "I feel like I'm floating in space". We'd never had POTUS or pretty much any public figure, crash out in public.

BTW, this would be your average Waffle Waitress in San Jose, CA in 1973.
