It's genuinely a good game, although I did find Proud mode to be fairly easy, aside from the Data bosses. Summons were nerfed, although a couple were still useful for endgame fights. Magic was heavily buffed. On proud mode, you can get end-game equipment that will essentially let you spam firaga/thundaga almost endlessly as long as you keep the combo going (good luck keeping that up against bosses, though).
The only worlds that were kinda meh are Twilight Town (highly detailed, but most of the map is blocked off. essentially the Ratatouille world) and the Frozen world. Everything else was top notch, especially the Pirates world.
