Shadamy is OOC. Shadamy turns Shadow into an edgy Sonic when in reality Shadow only ever loved Maria. Amy loves Sonic despite him not having any feelings for her. Shadamy is the destruction of both characters' canon characterizations.
Shadamyfags assume the character in pic rel would initiate kisses and other affectionate physical actions. They make superficial assumptions about him based on his design and voice, they think of him as a generic bad boy and run with that.
There's got to be some sort of cognitive dissonance in hardcore Shadamyfags. They think, "Sonic doesn’t reciprocate, so she needs to find another "Sonic" who will."
In reality, Shadow would be worse than Sonic at reciprocating Amy's affection. He simply freezes up when he's touched and he doesn't even realize he should be returning hugs. Sonic at least offers side hugs.
00's Amy would quickly become frustrated and angry with Shadow's aloofness. Does she even have the patience necessary to work with a person who's deeply traumatized and shuts down any attempts to care about him? I think she'd eventually end up snapping at him and he wouldn't bounce back from that very easily.
