Why don't rewatch the entirety of CCA and understand it all? Throughout the film Char has been fronting as Neo Zeons saviour while he himself asks for punishment for what is he about to do, that's why he has been pushing Amuro, thats why he spared him, then gave him the means to kill him. One fucking scene in CCA, just lays it all out that he wants Amuro to kill him.
