It really is weird given that and the sequel film for Zombie Island went out of their way to say all the supernatural stuff wasn't real, even though both the ZI movie and 13 ghosts showed people transforming into monsters. It'd be like if they made a sequel to Witch's ghost, and said "oh that one guy? He wasn't sucked into a book, it was just a hologram, as was the ghost. And that giant turkey? Hologram!"
Seriously, fuck the people making those decisions.
