The first black man to enter French Parliament occurred after the French Revolution, in 1793, a victory of Judeo-Masonic “enlightenment” ideas. Jean-Baptiste Belley was a Saint Dominican who was a captain of infantry, and fought against the Royalist Bourbon forces of Saint-Domingue in 1793, later becoming a "French" politician. Although Belley was recognized as a full citizen of the Republic, he was an active spokesman for black people. [1]
