I'm chugging along on my third rewatch and I'm amazed again by how much happens every single episode. I always expect it to be a slow and cute slice of life, but every episode is a deluge of cute things happening. I thought I'd binge watch, but having a week to digest each episode seems to be much better.
The contrast is even more apparent since I picked up, and quickly dropped, Sakamoto Days at the same time. There nothing really happens and it's just flashy fights, slapstick and lame japanese comedy for nearly 20 minutes.
Gochiusa really is one of the best pieces of media ever made. I'm glad I'm alive to enjoy it.
