Based, but get your sights off my girl penny
Treas carefully bro.. a girl I dated irl got mad because in our try hard ultra-optimized farm playthrough, I sold out to Quickie Mart and then put metal tiles all on our farm plot until it was fully metal flooring and just plants and greenhouses and the pond. She was like "THIS IS STARDEW NOT FUCKING FACTORIO".. Which is probably one of the reasons why it didn't work out, because I wanted to play that with her next... In my defense, the farm was already overly optimized and we could always just sell the land and move somewhere else and start over.... Bros I think she was a Biter from Factorio in disguise... I haven't found a replacement farm / gaming waifu but I am hopefull I won't find another biter, I'm lucky she didn't mutate.

Back to nature for ps1 is unquestionably the best, its only drawback being load times.
The people saying friends of mineral town or 64 probably just have nostalgia for those games, they are objectively wrong though. Also the Switch remake is garbage and removes content.
Next, Animal Parade for the Wii, incredibly underrated for some reason, amazing game and still carries the original charm.
As others have said, Harvest Moon DS is also great, though it's more on the grind autism side of things.
HM/SoS A wonderful Life is an acquired taste, I personally didn't enjoy the aging mechanic, you might though and if you do this might be one of your favorites.
As for the SoS DS/3DS games, it would take too much time to go into detail, the only one genuinely bad is island of happiness and that's only because of touch controls, the "remake": sunshine island is different not always in good ways but it has regular controls so it's superior by default.(Also the last game with rival marriages, which was a GOOD mechanic)
A new beginning is a town builder which once again is an acquired taste, I wasn't fond of it, but others swear by it.
Original SoS for 3DS is way more anime than previous entries but like HM: DS has massive autism potential. It also has drill ohoho oujo so it's peak
Trio of Towns has a lot of story if you are into that.
I have only played Tale of two towns a little bit so I can't say too much about it.
Any games I mentioned and didn't bash are recommended in some form or another.
All the recent releases are pretty ass, so if you are new and don't want to play older games I'd say wait for Grand Bazaar, the DS game is good and the remake looks promising.
