DRG has the same pitfall as the Blade's spear where it's a great sword-staff but the embellishment kinda kills it, as in literally the same thing going on with two blunt crescents framing it and it's a detriment to the spear

It's especially strange because the Phantom spear is very obviously based on Kain's spear which doesn't have anything like that
