I dated a Filipino-American girl for several years and I never saw this. Strange. There only "toilet" issue I ever ran into was I blew my noise with toilet paper and threw it into the bowl, her family's roommate (someone who they were renting too) didn't like I did that. She said Filipinos didn't like anything floating in their water. I just wanted to converse water. I never did it again.
