God I can't believe how annoying the default assets are. Like, you can have a headshot next to the message box, no problem, but what if I want the character's art work to appear in full during dialog. Well, the default assets aren't scaled in a way that you can just 'place' them in the bottom corner. also they are cut out into squares despite the fact that the technical limitations for images haven't been a factor since 1999. also no built in function to flip images. Like I swear I could do this in an earlier RPG maker for the picture display.
