I have what I call "bioconstructs" or "biogolems" within my setting, that are essentially biomechanical devices, machines and robots etc. They are composed of living tissues and organic materials, many of which are cultivated and grown but these bioconstructs themselves are not really "alive" in a real sense, as they are more akin to stitched together analgamations of various different living components, arranged into specific shapes to perform specific functions. Depending on the complexity of the bioconstruct they can be as simple as just basic tools and weapons all the way to semi autonomous robot like "golems" directed by cultivated neural networks or even brains, that have been "programmed" and conditioned towards specific functions.
