After finishing her breakfast, Hermione heads back to the game-room. Underneath the lion’s head, she logs into the desktop and inputs an address into the browser, as if in a dream. After a moment’s hesitation, she hits enter.
The page is empty. Cold black text across the center of the screen simply states that the site is no longer available.
Undeterred, she utilizes the aid of internet archival services. If the site were unavailable now, she’d at the very least investigate what secrets the page once held. After retyping the address, she’s able to find a version of the site from two years ago.
‘Have a mystery that needs solving??? Just reach out!
The one and only magical detective!’
It was a rather crudely organized site. Whoever made it had the design sensibilities of a child. And yet… the interesting find was the logo at the bottom. It looked like a soul gem.
Hermione glances at the clock in the corner of the screen. It was 9:45 am.
